Astro Pneumatic 7858 Universal Radiator Pressure Tester

A vehicle’s engine can be a delicate piece of machinery.  For example, proper operation depends on keeping it at the correct temperature.  If the engine is too cold, it won’t run well, and if it gets too hot, the engine can overheat, causing damage to the system and the vehicle, or even igniting an engine fire.  The radiator’s job is integral to keeping the car cool and preventing these costly and unsafe conditions and that means that maintaining and testing radiators is a common part of regular tune-ups.

However, the vast number of different makes and models of vehicles influences the types and sizes of radiators used, and that makes the technician’s job somewhat trickier.  The Astro Pneumatic 7858 Universal Radiator Pressure Tester simplifies the process.  Containing many different adapters allows it to test almost any vehicle’s radiator without searching for separate parts or kits.

This tester makes diagnostics of vehicles’ higher pressure cooling systems and pressure caps simple.  The radiator pressure gauge tests within a pressure range of 0 to 35 pounds, and the dial gauges are color coded in bright hues, making it easy to choose the correct gauge for the car.  The entire tester is encased in a blow molded case that keeps everything organized and makes the kit easy to transport.

Included in the Astro Pneumatic 7858 Universal Radiator Pressure Tester is a #0 temperature gauge and a #1 pressure testing pump, along with adapters to service the following makes: GM (Cadillac), Benz, Ford, GM (Buick), Jeep, Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Mazda, Toyota, Subaru, Infiniti, Geo, Suzuki, Isuzu, Lexus; Honda, Opal, VW, BMW245, Saab, and Jaguar, Volvo, Audi, Citron, Renault, Fiat, Alfa, New VW, VW T4, New Audi A4, A5, A6, BMW345, BMW, International, and Rover.  And to cover other models, a #78581 universal adapter is provided.
